HMD has finally launched Nokia 7 in China today after a number of recent leaks hinted at its sooner unveil. Nokia 7 is the only second Nokia smartphone to be launched in China after Nokia 6.

Nokia 7 is powered by Snapdragon 630 processor and packs a 5.2-inch, 1080p display. Nokia 7 packs a 16 MP Zeiss-branded camera at the back. It also brings top features from Nokia 8 OZO Audio and Bothie (Dual-Sight) for a much lower price.

Nokia 7 comes with 3D Glass body (Corning Gorilla Glass) and 7000 series aluminum alloy frame. It will be available to buy in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants.

Nokia 8 launched in India; goes on sale starting October 14

After launching three budget and mid-range smartphones, HMD Global finally launched the long anticipated, Nokia 8, the company’s first flagship smartphone in India.

The Nokia 8 is company’s first smartphone to sport imaging setup from Zeiss as well as audio experience by OZO Audio. OZO Audio is found in 360-degree VR cameras used in Hollywood, and is a first for mobile. It features multiple microphones to capture high dynamic range and record binaural audio, which gives the videos high-fidelity stereo sound.

It packs in a dual 13 MP rear camera setup that combines a color and monochrome sensor, shots from which are combined into a single shot with greater contrast. The front 13 MP front camera includes auto-focus and actually utilizes the same camera module as the rear configuration. There’s also the first ever ‘Dual-sight Live’ feature that allows you to simultaneously shoot/record/broadcast from front and rear cameras, a feature that the company calls ‘Bothie’.

Priced at ₹36,999 ($566), the Nokia 8 is available in four color variants – Polished Blue, Polished Copper, Tempered Blue, and Steel (Three at the time of launch, and the copper one would be available after a few weeks). The device will go on sale across offline stores and online on Amazon.in starting October 14. Jio customers will get up to 100 GB additional 4G data on Nokia 8 – an additional 10 GB Jio 4G data with every recharge of ₹309 or above, limited to 10 recharges till August 31, 2018.

HMD Global also shared that Nokia 8 consumers will have access to special Nokia Mobile Care concierge service in 50 cities across the country which would include door-step pick-up and delivery for any after-sales support services.

Nokia 8 Pre-orders in the UK Come with a Free Nokia Steel Smartwatch

Last month, HMD Global has officially launched the Nokia 8 Flagship Phone at an event held in London. It is Nokia's first flagship product that runs Android OS. Earlier to this, the company launched the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 smartphones. The Nokia 8 is priced at €599 (approx $710 / Rs. 45,500) and is mentioned to be available globally from September 2017. Coming to the India launch, the Nokia 8 will go on sale from early October. The smartphone comes in Polished Copper, Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, and Steel color options.

The Nokia 8 is now available to pre-order through Carphone Warehouse in the UK and comes with a slightly lower price tag of £499.99 (approx $645 / Rs. 41,500). Carphone Warehouse is also offering a free Nokia Steel smartwatch worth £119.95 (approx $155 / Rs. 10,000) for free with every pre-order. Unlike many other smartwatches, the Nokia Steel lacks the display to show the information or mirror the notifications. It more like a fitness tracker and counts the steps, distance, and calories. To know the fitness details, the user has to sync the Nokia Steel with the Health Mate app.

It is also waterproof up to 5 ATM which makes it perfect for swim sessions. Even the Samsung's newly announced Gear Fit 2 Fitness Tracker and Gear Sport Smartwatch also comes with 5 ATM water resistance. Unlike the regular fitness trackers, the Nokia Steel with its premium looking design stays stylish on your wrist. Another interesting feature is the eight months long battery life that too with the standard button cell battery. As of now, the Nokia Steel pre-order offer is only limited to the UK. The Nokia 8 will be available in stock beginning September 13th in the UK.

Talking about the Nokia 8, it comes with a 5.3-inch Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) display. Under the hood is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor built using the 10nm architecture and comes coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and 4GB of RAM. It offers 64GB of internal storage that can be expandable up to another 256GB via a MicroSD card slot. With the IP54 certification, the smartphone is also splash-proof. On the rear is the dual camera setup featuring 13MP RGB sensor and 13MP Monochrome sensor.

It includes PDAF, laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. There is also a 13MP front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF. The device also supports Nokia OZO spatial 360-degree audio technology while recording videos. It is backed by a 3,090mAh non-removable battery and supports Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology.
